My name is Pedro Santos Gomes, I have been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2000 and I provide a multidisciplinary legal support service for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and foreign investors wishing to implement or optimise their business in Portugal. My practice focuses on preventive and litigation support, covering areas such as business, tax, contract, labour and regulatory law, helping companies to operate and individuals to act with legal certainty in order to avoid legal problems.
I am also fluent in French, having lived in France, which allows me to offer personalised support to French-speaking clients who wish to invest or set up a business in Portugal.

Litigation advice: If there is already a dispute, I provide support in resolving commercial, labour and tax disputes, representing the company and defending its interests.

Yes. I offer complete support to foreign investors wishing to establish themselves in Portugal, providing assistance in setting up a company, obtaining licences and permits, tax compliance, opening bank accounts and compliance with Portuguese legislation.

Yes. Thanks to my command of the French language, I provide specialised legal assistance to French and French-speaking clients who wish to invest, open or expand their business in Portugal, ensuring a fluid service that is adapted to their reality.
2.5 How does the first consultation work?
The first contact includes a one-hour introductory meeting (cost: €90 plus VAT), where I identify the client's needs and the possible legal framework according to the information I have available at the time.
2.6 What happens after the introductory meeting?
If the client decides to use my services, I draw up an engagement letter setting out the terms of the legal assistance, fees and other conditions of service.
2.7 Do I assist in legal proceedings?
Yes. I represent companies and individuals in commercial, consumer, labour, regulatory and tax disputes, always analysing the best strategy to minimise risks and financial impacts.
2.8 What types of contracts can I draw up or review?
I draw up and analyse commercial, labour, service and corporate contracts and confidentiality agreements, ensuring that they are legally sound and protect your company's interests. As well as contracts, I draw up regulations or procedures to optimise each company's activity.

3.1 How can you hire my services?

3.2 Is the service only in person or online?
I offer face-to-face and online services, allowing flexibility and accessibility for clients.
3.3 What payment methods are accepted?
I accept bank transfer, credit card and ATM references.
3.4 How much does a legal consultation cost?
A legal consultation can vary depending on the degree of complexity and its duration under the terms defined in the Statute of the Bar Association. On average, the cost can vary between €120 (one hundred and twenty euros) and €170 (one hundred and seventy euros), plus VAT. However, the first introductory meeting has a fixed cost of €90 (ninety euros), plus VAT at the legal rate in force, corresponding to one hour of meeting time, allowing for a structured and enlightening first contact. For ongoing legal advisory services or where the degree of complexity requires it, it is possible to establish personalised payment plans such as a retainer or a fixed fee under the terms of the Portuguese Bar Association Statute.
3.5 What is the procedure after the introductory meeting?
Once the engagement letter has been accepted, the next step is to formalise the process, which includes filling in a KYC (Know Your Customer) form to verify identity and regulatory compliance. The necessary documentation is then collected, depending on the service to be provided, and the case is preliminarily analysed. Based on this information, a legal action plan is defined, and the necessary steps are only taken once the client has paid the provision request indicated in the engagement letter. Throughout the follow-up, the client can receive regular updates on the status of the case and can schedule meetings to clarify doubts or make strategic adjustments when deemed necessary.
3.6 What are the fees? *

Legal consultancy (on average per hour depending on the criteria defined in the EOA/hour): 120 EUR (+VAT) to 170 EUR (+VAT)
